Mock Mosaic Images

1. If changes upon the original supplied digital image(s) are required then
Jianhan is at liberty to charge a fee for the processing of that image. We do
not charge for simple cropping of an image to fit the desired end artwork
specifications.

a.	Changes might include:

        i.	Adding or removing elements in the image
        ii.	Smoothing or blending parts of the image 
        iii.	Removing image artefacts
        iv.	Changing the colours of part or whole image
        v.	Adding digital effects
        vi.	Colour enhancements
        vii.	Changing colour/brightness/contrast levels

Modifying an original digital image to suit the desired specifications can be a
lengthy and often costly process. We are happy to work with our clients in
collaboration in order to create the end result mosaic design. However it must
be understood that we will charge a fee for this work to do be done.

At Jianhan we have the latest in imaging technology and anything is possible,
you can rest assured your desired result will be achieved. And it is our goal to
achieve a noticeable result in the shortest possible time.

Our current rate for modifying original digital images is $60 per hour.

2. Original digital image(s) supplied may not fit exactly to the end artwork
dimensions required, therefore there are several options:

Example: An original digital image supplied is longer in length than height.
The desired final artwork is to be 1m x 1m. The mock mosaic image will then
appear distorted and/or ‘squashed’ due to it being fit into an area smaller
than the original image dimensions.

a.	Use the original image(s) supplied to create the mock mosaic image.

i.	Note: This may result in a distorted end result mock mosaic image if the
        client has specified a desired end result mosaic artwork size.

b.	Crop parts of the image as specified to achieve an undistorted final
        artwork. 

i.	Client is to specify clearly the parts of image to be removed in order to
        achieve a clear and undistorted end result mosaic artwork.

3. If no specific end result mosaic artwork dimension is required then the
original digital image(s) are used to achieve an end result mosaic artwork 
which is true to the image supplied in terms of clarity and dimension.

a.	Note: The larger the end result mosaic artwork the clearer it will be.
        This is because more tiles can be used to represent the detail as
        supplied in the original digital image.

4. Production of the mosaic artwork will commence upon acceptance of the
mock mosaic image sent to the customer. Acceptance is usually a written 
email reply stating the satisfaction with the look and composition of the mock 
mosaic image.

a.	Changes to the original digital image(s) supplied after production work
        has begun will incur a cost. This cost is calculated on each of the
        completed 30cm x 30cm panel that have to be restarted.

b.	Note: Mock mosaic images are sent in digital form in the format of .jpg or
        similar.

c.	The colours of the mosaic tiles in the mock mosaic image are accurate at
        the time of publishing. However several factors can affect and create a
        difference in mock mosaic image compared to final mosaic artwork.

i. These factors might include

1.	The colour calibration of your digital display device on your computer, ie,
        colour/contrast and spectrum of colour that the PC LCD or CRT monitor is
        able to produce.

Eg. When viewing our mock mosaic images on your computer they might
appear dull on your display but when produced the colours are vivid and not 
as you expected.

2.	The mosaic tiles are always much more vivid in colour when viewed, the 
        colour hue/brightness/saturation may differ to that of the mock mosaic 
        image.

3.	Note: It is always best to alter tile colours and/or spectrums, hue, 
        balances, brightness/contrast etc when the image has not yet been 
        accepted and started in production. A fee will be incurred for such 
        changes at later stages after acceptance of the mock mosaic image.
